Sony releases the TX55 touch-screen camera. The sleek Sony TX55 touch-screen camera has 16 megapixel and an illuminated CMOS sensor backside. It has 5x zoom lens and captures 1080i60 movies and stores them on the MicroSD/SDHC or Memory Stick Micro cards.
This slim Sony digicam is 12.2mm deep. It has a 3.3″ OLED touch screen. The features of the Sony TX55 touch-screen camera include 3D image capture, ‘extremely low’ noise, 3D Sweep Panorama and processing filters that debuted in the NEX C3.
The TX55 also uses the ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ digital zoom mode that applies image processing to try enhance the image back up to full pixel-count.
The price tag for this latest Sony beauty is US $350 and ships to stores September.

3D Still Image captures dramatic 3D photos without the need for a large, bulky stereoscopic lens. With a single shutter press, the camera takes two shots consecutively, using the first image to estimate depth information to create a dramatic three-dimensional still image. Other 3D shooting options include 3D Sweep Panorama mode and Sweep Multi Angle.
