Ricoh Introduces The CX4

Ricoh launched a new camera; the superzoom CX4. The latest point and shoot camera from Ricoh has a 10 megapixel sensor with an impressive 10x zoom power or an equivalent 28-300mm optical zoom.

The pictures are composed and taken on a 3 inch LCD. Ricoh CX3 allows fro 720p HD video recording and the company said it has added extra features including image stabilization for less noise, this average is equivalent t to -/+ 3.7 EV usable shutter-speed stops.

The Ricoh CX4 also offers creative shooting which according to the company are the following:

A “creative shooting mode” that offers a choice of six artistic effects
• Choose “soft focus mode” for an effect similar to that produced by soft-focus lenses. The strength of the effect can be selected from “weak” and “strong.”
• Select “cross-process mode” for colors that differ markedly from those in normal photographs. Choose a color scheme from “basic,” “magenta,” and “yellow.”
• “Toy camera mode” replicates the sharp contrast and saturated colours associated with toy cameras, together with their characteristic distortion and vignetting.
• The CX4 also offers the “dynamic range double shot,” “miniaturize,” and “high-contrast B&W” modes made popular by the CX3.

Ricoh has released the CX4 compact superzoom with a 10 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor. It offers the same 10x (28-300mm equiv.) optical zoom lens, 920k dot 3 inch LCD and 720p HD video recording as the CX3 compact, but features enhanced image stabilization that claims to reduce blur on average by the equivalent of about -/+3.7 EV usable shutter-speed stops. Other features include subject-tracking AF and additional shooting modes.• HS System & f/2 lens
