Pentax has announced the upcoming release of a new line of cameras. Front and center, is the Optio I-10, a digital camera inspired by the classic look of film SLR cameras. The Optio I-10 features a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens, a 12.1 megapixel high resolution CCD sensor, a 2.7 inch widescreen LCD, and HD video capture at 720p and 30 FPS. The camera’s front panel is covered with high quality leatherette texture with the classic PENTAX logo emblazoned in the center. Its flash unit and speaker is placed in the upper mid-section of the SLR-shaped body. The camera’s Shake Reduction system and improved Pixel Track Shake Reduction technology ensures blur-free images while the Smile Capture, Blink Detection, and improved Face Detection that spots up to 32 faces ensures that the shutter should go when it should go.
The Optio I-10, along with the other members of its line, will ship in February 2010 in Classic Black and Pearl White for $300 USD.
