Panasonic has unveiled four new Lumix digital compact cameras to the market. In the front line is the DMC-TZ10, a compact ultra-zoom camera featuring an optically stabilized 25-300mm equivalent Leica lens, full manual exposure control, and a built-in GPS. It has a 14.5-megapixel CCD and shoots at up to 12.1-megapixel resolution.
Apart from taking stills, the camera can record 720p HD movies in Motion JPEG or AVCHD Lite format, and users can fully utilize its 12x optical zoom while filming. The Dolby Digital Stereo Creator is perfect for recording high-quality audio. Rounding off the features list, SDXC card support and a 3”, 460000-dot Intelligent LCD with anti-reflex coating is used.
The TZ10 is one of the first cameras in the Panasonic TZ series to offer full manual exposure control and the first Panasonic ultra-zoom to have a built-in GPS unit. It will be available in mid-March in a choice of silver, black, red or blue.

very nice.
if you are happy using the auto features, are happy with a 8x zoom, want a smaller camera body, and want to pay £100 (or so) less, then the Panasonic ZX1 is worth a look too!
