Aside from Olympus announcement of a new superzoom digital camera, the company also revealed the price of its latest camera under the PEN line called the Olympus E-PM. It also revealed the VF-3 electronic viewfinder for its PEN series of Micro Four Thirds cameras.
First, let’s focus on the Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3. The PEN Lite E-PL3 will have a US$699.99 price tag and will be shipped in stores this September. Here in the UK the Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3 will sell for £549.99. The camera will come with a kit and it is your choice of M.Zuiko 14-42mm lens or the M. Zuiko 17mm pancake lens.
The second announcement is the VF-3 electronic viewfinder for its PEN series of Micro Four Thirds cameras. It is a lower resolution alternative to the existing VF-2 at 0.97x magnification, 920k dot, rather than 1.15x, 1.44M dot. It offers a 100% field of view and can be tilted by up to 90 degrees.
The VF-3 fits all PEN cameras with accessory port and sells for $179.99.
