Nikon Unveils Coolpix S5100

Alongside Nikon’s announcement of its newest Coolpix S1100pj compact camera with built-in projector, the company also releases the Coolpix S5100 point and shoot camera.

According to Mark Pekelharing, Product Manager Consumer Products at Nikon Europe B.V.: “These new additions to our COOLPIX family enhance our offering for everyone, whether you’re looking for the latest innovation or a handy compact camera to capture all your favorite memories. The S5100 offers great quality at an affordable price and the S1100pj continues Nikon’s unique lead in projector camera innovation. The ability to connect the S1100pj to a PC or Mac makes it a very versatile device for both home and business use, making it easier than ever to share photos, presentations and more.”

The Nikon Coolpix S5100 has a slim and stylish body. It has 12.2 megapixel and has easy-to-use functions. The Coolpix S5100 performs well on low light situations according to the company.

“Even at night, when images can be more difficult to capture, you can rely on getting clear, crisp pictures every time with lens-shift type VR (Vibration Reduction), enhanced Motion Detection, and a ground-breaking flash control system. The S5100 will detect if you are holding the camera, rather than using a tripod, and will automatically select the most appropriate settings to reduce image blur and make sure you capture beautiful pictures every time”, Nikon said in its press release.

The Nikon Coolpix S5100 comes in blue and black and has a € 159 price tag.
