GE cameras unveiled a point and shoot camera range dubbed as “Create by Jason Wu”. The new GE Create series designed by Jason Wu will be launched on March 16, 2010.

Wu, a New York fashion designer (whose clients include Natalie Portman, Ivanka Trump and Drew Barrymore), collaborated with GE in creating a unique collection of GE point and shoot cameras. The timelessness of Wu’s creation, according to GE, is translated in the digital cameras detailing. Thus the GE Create digital camera becomes not just a gadget that takes artsy pictures but is a thing of art itself.
GE boasts that it is the perfect blend of fashion and simplicity in a new breed of camera. The GE Create digital camera collection offers custom metal and leather colours, handpicked by Wu. The metal colors are available in white, black, gold, red, yellow, blue and green. On the other hand the GE Create camera’s leather colors are available in white, black and gray
The GE Create point and shoot camera has a one-touch operation that takes pictures or deletes them (whichever you need) and eliminates excessive buttons.
The Camera also boasts of a decent 4 GB built-in memory. You can also download the photos or videos, as easy as ASAP, as the camera have a retractable USB plug.
The camera’s built-in battery charges easily via a USB plug or the optional wall adapter that is included.
GE Create camera’s built-in software enables automatic backup and playback of pictures and video on PC’s. Create is also compatible with iPhoto® for Mac users.
The GE Create camera by Jason Wu has a 12 Megapixels of resolution, 3X Zoom and 2.7″ LCD to be sold at US$180 for the 4GB model while the 8GB sells at US $ 230.
