Samsung tries to prove it is a digital imaging innovator with the two 12 mega-pixel point and shoot digital cameras -- the durable ES73 and the waterproof WP10.

Samsung tries to prove it is a digital imaging innovator with the two 12 mega-pixel point and shoot digital cameras — the durable ES73 and the waterproof WP10. According to Samsung it unique selling proposition is the WP10 and the ES73 grant peace of mind and allow users to focus on taking the perfect shot, rather than worrying about damage to the camera.

“Memories can happen at any given moment and in any environment,” said Mr. SangJin Park, CEO of Samsung Digital Imaging. “Further diversifying and expanding the range of digital imaging solutions available from Samsung, consumers can rely on these durable compacts to perform in the most challenging of environments as they’re both built to last and feature packed for the highest-quality result

Samsung WP10

A point and shoot compact camera that is solely waterproof. You can bring the Samsung WP10 at depth of 10m but it is not a rugged camera that has shock proof or freeze proof feature.

Aside from still images the WP10 also offers 720p HD video above or below the water. The WP10 offers image stabilization while recording video and for complete simplicity, it has Smart Auto (Still & Movie) scene recognition technology which fine tunes both video and picture settings for the best possible results.

Samsung ES73

This is what Samsung dubs as a durable compact rugged camera. The Samsung ES73 has an Anti-Scratch Mask that protects the shooter’s casing. Also, its buttons are rubberized to keep unwanted elements such as dust and dirt at bay.

This is an advanced compact which combines the best of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, Canon Powershot S90 and Canon G11. It uses Schneider lens like the Panasonic. However, its maximum aperture opening is F1.8, which is one stop more than the F2.0 optics that the Lumix sports. The Samsung camera also has a swivelling AMOLED LCD similar to that found on the Canon G11.

The ES73 offers standard definition, VGA video recording and also features Samsung’s intuitive and easy-to-use Smart Auto scene recognition technology.

Samsung has also incorporated a Smart Night Mode in the new ES73, which will allow consumers to capture sharp, properly exposed images when shooting at night. Typically, a flash can be too bright and wash out one’s subject when used in low-light or night-time settings, ruining what could have been a great image. With Samsung’s new Smart Night Mode, this is no longer an issue as consumers can now increase or decrease the power of the flash to ensure the perfect shot, the way they want, each and every time.

Nothing says “I Love You Mum!” better than an awesome present, a 10 mega-pixel digital camera, in colour pink. We suggest 6 best buy cameras to give to your mum this Mother’s Days. These cameras are definitely a nicer gesture than, say, just giving a Mother’s Day card, yet it won’t completely wipe out your finances. Order your camera at Amazon UK.
The WB2000 will be released this Spring, for a £329.99 price tag.

Samsung WB2000 is your dual action camera. It’s a point-and-shoot camera that can take amazing still images and record 1080p Full High Definition videos.

If you’re a camera user who needs high quality videos as well as amazing still photos, then Samsung WB2000 is the best buy camera for you.

Samsung WB2000 users need not worry about a 5-10 second wait when switching between still and movie.

Samsung enhances its low-light shooting with the Samsung CMOS sensor, it also improves the cameras shutter lag. Samsung WB2000 users can capture 10 pictures per second at a Full 10 mega-pixel quality.

The Samsung WB2000 has an impressive 1,000 frames per second video recording capability. That should make anyone go “Wow!” because the average point-and-shoot camera only shoots 30fps while the average camcorders can do 60fps.

Similar to other Samsung cameras, the WB2000 has a 3 inch AMOLED screen. Samsung’s LCDs are designed to save battery life and allow users to view the screen even under the big bright sun.

At first glance, you’d probably think that the Samsung Pro815 is one of those DSLR kind because of its all-metal body and design and its substantially big lens (a 15x zoom Schneider-Kreuznach) exudes the DSLR vibe. Not to mention, its large LCD screen gives it a more professional look. It is, however, Samsung’s most powerful point-and-shoot, non-SLR camera to date. Its impressive non-interchangeable zoom lens and features can produce high quality images that are as good as those taken with the more expensive DSLRs.
