Samsung Dual-View camera is a great idea especially in the world of social media.

Built and Handling
The Samsung ST100 is a pocket camera. It weighs just 4.8 ounces and measures 3.9 x 3 x.78 inches. It has a sleek design and internal zoom lens which means nothing protrudes so less prone to lens breakage. It’s a touchscreen camera so there are only 5 buttons in the body.
Similar to the previous Dual View Samsung cameras there is a unique base in this camera that allows you to set-up the camera and make it sit at an angle ideal for group shots with self-timer. Now there is the “feet” to the base which allows the camera to sit level (instead of angled).
Image Quality
For a 14 megapixel point and shoot camera the ST100 takes great photos. The Samsung camera has a Smart Auto function which can produce quality, slightly saturated photos. Most of the images are sharp and have good contrast. The lens offers a focal range of 25-105mm and if you zoom it at 100 percent there may be some form of edge softness which is typical of digicams. The 175mm zoom is able to record tightly framed subjects.
Portrait photos taken with the ST100 are good and it is especially nice when taking kids photos because you can distract them with the front LCD. Of course this camera is great for people who like to take photo of themselves, with the front LCD making it possible to frame your own photo shoot.
Video Quality
The Samsung ST100 has great video options, it can shoot movies at 720p at a frame rate of 30 or 15 fps. You can use full zoom optical recording while taking videos.

I absolutely HATE this camera!
A friend of mine bought this for me for Christmas and completely got ripped off! I have a profound respect for photography and this camera is just a joke. The only reason it cost so much is for the screen it has on the front and few good features it has. The picture quality is awful! It freezes up and will not unfreeze until you pop out the battery and pop it back in, it doesn't turn off when you think you have turned it off and doesn't automatically turn it's self off like many cameras do, the picture quality has quickly become blurrier, with a slight turn of the camera it starts flying through pictures and doing things on it's own that you do not want it to do. It is all around an annoying camera NOT worth the price, just a pain. I'd like to kick in the face the person who created this atrocity. DON'T BUY!
Self Portraits taken to a new level
I saw someone using this camera to take photos of themselves with their loved ones. I was amazed. I could never position myself, no matter how hard I tried, to take the camera and hold it in position to self portrait or include myself with someone. When I came closer I noticed the incredible front LCD display. I knew I had to have that camera! It was on sale for an awesome price. I really find it has great features and the face detection is top notch. It is the first sophisticated camera I've ever owned. Im hooked! I am so happy with this purchase.
Excellent camera for the casual photog
I picked this camera up last weekend during a Las Vegas trip. I wanted to try a camera with front and rear LCDs, so I picked this little guy up. Right off the bat I noticed the fit and finish were worlds better than some previous cameras that I have owned. After flipping through the manual I turned it on and acquanted my self with the menu. This is without a doubt one the most intuitive and easiest to use cameras that I have encountered. Once I dialed in the settings I started snapping pics. Here are some observations: 1) The dual image stabilization is flawless, and really smoothed out my pictures. 2) The Schneider 31mm wide angle lense is great, especially for Vegas shots that include buildings, exhibits, etc. 3) The front LCD is excellent for self-portraits. So far that is the extent of my experience, so no down sides at all.

This is an excellent camera.... I have used it almost everyday since I got it!! It captures beautiful pictures and really high quality film. I would recommend it to anyone!

Small and compact camera
Very easy to use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, good image quality, very good in low light, good Zoom, Nice large clear LCD, Perfect photos and it is small and compact. The only thing is that it uses the small micro memory card not the standard SD size.
Amazing.
This is my second camera, and i am very pleased with it. It takes great pictures and has a lot of features. I bought the camera for the sale price of $249 which was a great deal. This camera has many great features that make picture taking a lot easier, including the smart photo feature which automatically sets the best suitable mode for the picture. The screen is just beautiful, it looks very natural instead of looking pixelated. High quality recording (up to 1280HQ). The dual screen is super helpful for my girlfriend taking our couple shots. The touch screen is very responsive. Love the kids mode! It doesn't always make them smile but it gets their attention. Would recommend at least a 4gig micro along with camera. Features are a little tricky to figure out at first, but after a while it's a snap. Over all this is 14.2 MP of fun!
Great Camera
This camera is good for people who like touch screen cameras. It is easy to use and the quality of the pictures come out great. The front lcd screen is also great for taking pictures of yourself. A lot of my friends are impressed with this camera and wants a camera just like this one.
Fun camera, req. steady hand.
This camera is great! I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend and she immediately fell in love (with the camera =P). The most notable feature is the screen on the front of the camera that lets you view what the lens sees before you take your photo, which is great for self portraits. Only gripe is when using the front screen, photos come out blurry, which demands for a very steady hand. My girlfriend loves self photos and isn't much of a tech geek nor is she a photography buff. Meet those two qualities? Then this simple touch screen camera is a good choice.
overall good camera
I bought this camera as a temp. replacement for my Samsung touchscreen that was being fixed. The touchscreen and features are simple and not too much for someone that is used to working with digital cameras. The price is good for the featured camera, although you should def. purchase a protection plan for the accidental damages to the screen lens or whatever else. I saved myself ALOT of money by doing this! Overall good camera.
Dont even know what's wrong
All of my low light pictures are blur espectially when I shot the picture at the decorating light, the light just spread out everywhere . Does anybody know what's happen
Great camera especially for taking self photos
I love this camera...it is the BEST small digital camera I have ever owned. I love the touch screen and the front view screen. It is easy to use, even for those who are not tech savvy. The only negative is the micro SD card for photo storage. The micro SD is very small and even for someone like me with small hands and fingers, it is extremely difficult to get in and out of the camera. Overall, I would highly recommend this camera.
This product is very easy once you get the feel
I feel it is not very user friendly however you need to put the time into it as in all products. Not the camera for the beginner, however, if you are looking to just point and shoot withe the default settings your in great shape. this is the product. Makes clear and beautiful pictures. If you use the 1080p HD you will tale alloy more space. Transfer files to mail or external backups. They are perfect to view. None better unless you use a 3000.00 camera,
Not the best
I bought this camera about 9 months ago and at first I was happy with it. Then one day it just started acting up. Now all the pictures are blurry or not hight enough resolution. Not to mention the screen is like quiting as it somehow now has black spots on it. It is in no way worth it unless u like to replace it like every 6 months
Excelletn Camera
A very nice buy , very portable for family use. with this camera we are more proactive and taking more family pics at home with the kids. Most of the time pics come out nice. Those blurry ones are due to lot of movement by kids .Lot of features I tried to mess with him for fun. I really like it so far and its a great buy. Go for it

Absolutely amazing! I bought this camera for my honeymoon in January and it definitely impressed us both, it took great pictures and for a newlywed couple self portrait mode is a must!
Horrible!
I bought this under the impression that it would be a decent camera. I've used previous Samsungs (and countless other cameras throughout the years) that took some amazing snapshots. This camera, however, is by far the WORST camera I have ever used in my life. I returned it four days after purchasing and cannot believe the high ratings it's been given on here.
Christmas gift for my daughter
My 11 year old daughter is reviewing this camera with me since she is the primary user. She has already taken several hundred pictures with it and taken several movie clips including one DIY instructional video for Youtube. She absolutely loves it. It replaced her previous camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. It was also a great camera, so she had a pretty good camera to which to compare this one. The Samsung has a more limited zoom function, but in almost every other respect is a better camera. Allow me to repeat, she shot a DIY video of herself with no help from anyone else. She's 11. If she can get great results out of this camera, imagine what you could do with it.

Great camera I love it, everything about this camera I love. It takes very clear pictures and video. It uses a micro sd card. The very small one. It comes in a 4gb or 8gb.
They sure don't make it easy. Not easy to operate
Your camera does not come with a memory card, not clearly stated in the description. Your camera does not come with a full instruction booklet. Your camera does come with a CD Rom instruction, BUT only plays on WINDOWS XP VISTA 7. If you have a Mac then you are pretty much scuppered. Had I known the above I would not have bought this product.

Great little camera for the price!
I previously owned a Nikon P90 and decided I needed something smaller that I would actually carry around with me and use (the Nikon was big and got left at home more often than not). I found this camera in the open-box section at my local Best Buy and could not pass it up for the price. I've used it at two major events over the past week and pretty much constantly around the house/yard the rest of the time. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out the settings and which ones worked best and where. Both LCD screens are crisp and bright, and the menus are easy to navigate. There are a ton of different settings and options, so taking time to get to know them all would be wise if you want nice pictures. A
