If you’re a beginner photographer opting to try out a semi-pro camera then the Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) should perk your interest.
The Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) is somewhere in between an intermediate camera and a beginners camera. This means the latest Canon DSLR allows you to tinker with camera control while still having the option of a point and shoot rig.
The Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) has already had great feedbacks especially since its predecessor the Canon T2i has been a fan favorite.
The Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) retains the T2i’s 18-megapixel CMOS image sensor, Canon’s EOS Integrated Cleaning System, DIGIC 4 processor, Live View shooting mode, 63-zone Dual layer metering system, Full HD (1080p) video mode.
In the mean time Canon upgraded its DSLR with automated Scene Intelligent technology, a hands-on guide offering detailed descriptions of settings, an articulating 3.0-inch LCD. You can buy the Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) with a kit lens (EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5 – 5.6 IS).
This Canon camera sells, with a EF-S 18-55mm IS lens for $899, or if you want the EF-S 18-135mm IS lens you pay $1099.
What’s Cool About Canon DSLR Scene Intelligent
The cool new upgrade with the Canon DSLR is the Scene Intelligent Auto technology. This basically adroitly adjusts exposure, white balance, focus and lighting optimizers depending on the scene you’re in. It’s great technology especially for beginners and novice who need assistance in setting up their cameras. With the Scene Intelligent auto technology you can take gorgeous sunset photos even while still learning how to control your camera.
Manual Control
You have the auto settings in this new Canon DSLR but you can easily customize and so creative setting for your photos. The Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) allows you to adjust Program Auto Exposure (AE), Shutter Priority AE, Aperture Priority AE, Manual Exposure, and Auto Depth-of-Field AE. It’s easy to figure it out because Canon offers a brief description about the purpose of each dial.
Canon DSLR LCD
The Canon EOS Rebel T3i (aka EOS 600D) has a 3 inch Vari-Angle LCD with an above average with 1,040,000 dots resolution. Frame your photos in Live View or review them in a great screen.. When the screen is viewed at a perpendicular angle, is easily visible; although, it is slightly more difficult to see at more extreme angles than some other cameras we’ve tested (even though Canon claims a 170° viewing angle). Besides these slight criticisms, the Vari-Angle LCD is a great added luxury. For low to the ground or overhead shots, the Vari-Angle feature saves the operator from getting into uncomfortable or unsafe positions, yet still allows them to capture that exacting view. Additionally, this also sanctions the perfect self-portrait. These qualities make the T3i’s Vari-Angle LCD a major improvement over the Rebel T2i
Shooting Performance
This Canon camera has excellent shooting performance. From turning the power-on up till the first shot, the process takes 3/10 of a second, which means it has a fast processor. It’s a speedy performer even in live mode. It also produces beautiful and crisps photos. If you plan to have large prints the 18 megapixels of this Canon camera will not fail you.
Kit Lens
If you’re a beginner or an intermediate photographer the EF-S 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS lens has a versatile focal range that will sate your imaging needs. It’s great for portraits and capturing family and friends gathering. It’s also great for travel photos and it not bulky.
Canon EOS Rebel T3i remains as likable as its predecessors and we think it’s a great camera. The bundled EF-S 18-135mm IS lens for $1099 is the way to go if you want versatile lens for any kind of photo event. It’s a great camera to use for indoor photo shoots because of its high ISO performance. We recommend this DSLR for beginners and intermediate DSLR users!
