Baby photos bring so much joy…for the parents, but for the photographers the process means hard work.
How do you make taking photos of baby into a pleasurable event? Here are 8 tips…
1. Patience is a virtue, especially in baby photography. Remember that babies get tired quickly so if the infant is becoming unhappy just take a break and restart at a later time.
2. Natural light is still the best lighting as flash light can irritate the young one.
3. The background for the baby photo should be uncluttered. You want the baby photo to be highlight and not a the busy background.
4. Try photographing the baby as he or she engages in an activity – playing or perhaps during bath time.
5. Load up on toys and other colourful items to keep your baby interested in posing.
6. Be ready to play the fool. Sorry, but you have to do the funny face, it’ll be one of the effective ways to get a nice expression from the baby.
7. The easiest way to photography a baby is to capture his image while he is sleeping. A popular style of newborn photography is photographing the baby (usually with their mothers) in their quiet moments.
8. Try zooming in close-up on babies, so that the subject fills the entire frame. The baby photo would look cool and cute.
